I was attending a Motivation Seminar conducted by a well-known Insurance Company. There was one part where they called upon a veteran who has already retired to give a testimonial. He was sitting in the audience somewhere in the back. After his name was called, he stood up amidst the applause, made his way to the front. The auditorium was slanted forward and so there were steps along the side where he walked. Somewhere near the front seats, he toppled and felled. There was a huge commotion of shock from the audience but when they saw him get up and carried on walking, there was a smaller commotion of relief.
After introducing himself, he asked the audience whether they noticed what he did after he fell down. There were murmurings among the audience but actually they did not know what he did. He just fell down, got up and carried on walking to the Stage. So what DID he do?
After a short pause, he revealed, “I got up and carried on walking.”
He continued, “and all of you shoud do the same. When something in your life make you fall, get up and carry on walking.”
“It’s no use sitting there and blaming everything, nothing will happen. But when you get up and carry on walking, you WILL reach your destination.”
